After Treatment

Immediately after your massage session it is important not to overexert. Muscles which have become more relaxed than they are used to need to be treated gently so they don’t leap back into their tightened state. Resting, drinking extra water to promote flushing of toxins released (like lactic acid), and avoiding stress as much as possible will help to maximize and prolong relaxation and a sense of well-being. An Epsom salts bath is helpful.

The best sleeping positions are on your back with a pillow under your knees or on your side with your knees bent together and a pillow between them. A three-quarters position with one knee drawn up can work well also. In any position make sure the curve of your neck is fully supported.
