About Michele Robinson, RMT

I have been practising massage therapy as a registered massage therapist for 28 years. Many years ago, when I was wondering what I wanted to do in my life, a friend handed me a massage book and presented me with her sore shoulder. It was a magical moment for me.

My work has changed over the years, letting go of some techniques and incorporating acupressure, craniosacral, Reiki (I am also a Reiki master) and more with a foundation of Swedish massage. I draw on these to personalize treatment for each client.

I love what I do.

I have probably danced all my life, especially loving creative dance and improv. For many years I have been a part of women’s circles that include some dance, and I wanted to bring together the spirit of the circles with more dance.
When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to teach it. For three years classes have been offered at beautiful Sleeping Dog Farm and Retreat Centre.

I believe that massage and exploratory dance are both ways to experience the inner self—that which is unique, wise, beautiful and strong in each of us.
